Heavy Water is a historically accurate depiction of one of World War IIs greatest covert operation: Operation Gunnerside, in which Captain Joachim Rønneberg led a group of Norwegian resistance fighters into a Nazi controlled heavy water production site in Rjukan, Norway and took out Hitler’s greatest chance of making an atomic bomb!
